Well I thought I would try a bike ride, never been out on it for a year or so. Did 30 mile and my arse is paying a heavy price. Enjoyed though; much prefer running

Smashing. Ran round Hockley Woods. Sunny, not too warm, no ash (;-)), steady pace, very pleasant.

VLM team of Union, HappyG and I did a gentle 8 miles this morning.
Brisk wind from the west, but not too cold. Finished with the wind in our backs running along the beach. Union took his shoes and socks off and ran through the waves. HappyG and I wimped out as didn't want to risk sand rubbing on the last half mile home.
The finish was planned, and I took my MP3 player, with Chariots of Fire at full volume as we did slow motion running actions along the beach - childish or what!
Any slow motion next week will be cos we are knackered!
