Chapeau Marcu.
7.25 miles for me - as much of an LSR as I could squeeze in what with first Sunday of the month commitments in church and whatnot.

Lovely thank you. 13.5 miles in the Penlands, running very slowly and with fewer niggles at end than start. And the sun shone. And everyone was nice and friendly. :-)G

Marathon Lads
Today we ran Birkhamstead HM in 2:07- it was i think our 176 HM together ??
This was our first time at this event- i'd heard it was HILLY and rolling countryside- so we were to find out - LMAO I had no intentions of racing it- as we'd in the last two weeks run Bramley 20 in 3:15- and Draycote 5 lap marathon in 4:49- so i had fully intended treating it as nothing more that a HILLY fun run and playing with it - conquering it in a clinical and methodical manner - quite effortlessly - and that is exactly what we did-
I was however physically and phscycoligically in tip top condition- i had'nt felt so good for a long time-
before hand lots of runners greeted us and payed us wonderful compliments - the run started we pressed on - laughing all the way - chanting - easy - easy - easy for miles, we chatted and laughed with people, some where obviously struggling on the hills - for some it was the furthest they'd ever been - and they are up for 2009 FLM- some asked me for advice on preperation , and i glady gave it to them-
For us the miles in wonderful countryside ticked away just too quickly, i really wished it had been a 15 or 20 miler - the so called HILLS just did'nt materialise, oh, they were HILLS, but they were NEVER going to trouble us in any way shape or form
the last mile was a nice down hill - it was a peaceful and tranquil run, on a most perfect day - it was also organised so very well- i fully congratulate ALL the organisers - in every way possible
i can only assume today that fellow runners must have thought i was as high as a kite, as i wondered myself, but it is simply - the FEEL GOOD FACTOR- and the power of running that's all - all based on total phsycological and mental stamina - totally switching off to anything negative that could possibly creep in at all
i was in total control at all times, i was then and still now to an extent ( though i'm home and back to problems ) feeling happy fit and good -
if ever you should want a superb HM - i fully recommend Berkhamstead - or there's the 5 miler - that's good as wel lfor encouraging the younger or those that cannot yet go further
sadly it's all over now- LONG LIVE RUNNING

Foxy Davy
i had a good evening 8 miler that felt so good I stretched it to 9 then a PB - I managed an extra minute in the ice cold bath afterwards - 6 mins gradually hoping to get to 10. These baths have been a revelation in my recovery
