Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Same 7.15 mile run as yesterday. Expected it to be slower than yesterday as I felt quite tired and I did it quicker than I should have done yesterday. I ended up running an average of 30 seconds per mile faster than yesterday with an average heart rate of 3 bpm lower than yesterday. Actually, it did feel easier too. It doesn't really make a lot of sense.

Yes, feels like I'm running well at the moment. It's tempting to change my marathon target time, but I'm not going to give in to that temptation. My heart rate at 8 minute miles at the moment is less than 80% of working heart rate range. My target pace for the marathon is 8 minute miles to get a 3:30, which I have not yet done, although I think I should have easily done before. As long as my endurance is good, I should be confident about getting that 3:30.

Sounds like you right where you need to be FR. Isn't it a satisfying feeling, knowing you've done your preparation faithfully, and you're work is about to pay off?

5.5 mile run for me today, very hills. I run into and back out of the valley and the altitude change is about 400 feet, but with several dips and climbs, so the actual climb is probably substantially more.

Reversed my normal 5mile circular run this morning. I'm sure this way round has more hills to climb, but I seem to have done it a minute quicker than normal! Not that I'm complaining!

Well done Anna - good work

Ran to work again today. Four days in a row, so 25 miles covered this week before the weekend. 21 miler tomorrow and something on Sunday will take me over 50m for the week :-)

This marathon might be ok after all...
