Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

No need to apologise Gobi, hats off to you, you have earned it through lots of hard training too.

You are a source of inspiration to us all.

WP, Thanks :-)

It is my first WP yes. I'm aiming for sub four but will be happy with four if for example the paralysing heat gets to me :-)

Yes, rest, ice and all that, anti infalms too like brufen; be careful because can be extremely painful if it gets worse, big muscle!

Dark! Haven't got the hang of the rapidly receding daylength. went off unenthusiastically to do 5 x mile reps at 7 20 pace with mile warm up & cool down. The thing is I don't get home from work till nearly 7 & being half Irish I am doing these reps on an uneven often sandy undulating bridleway near home. 1st one was 7 04, 2nd 7 24 & then it was at least 5 mins negotiating with myself to do the 3 rd one which slumped to 7 39. Then I twigged it was getting dark.Rapidly. Did the last 2 in 7 12 with a v brief gap. More downhill at the end but still shows the power of the mind as felt better for last 2. Then in my dark clothes, dim in every sense of the word I had to run along an unlit A road for 150yds to get to my road. Curse short daylength.

Good luck on Sunday Ian.Could be warm so start hydrating now!
