18/02/08 - 5.3m - 46.13 I really wanted to go out there. All day I have been planning to go out. after the weeks of feeling low, I feel good again. Not the best time but I felt great, the first time in ages. I feel that with a bit more oomph I could have gone better. No stretches tonight I just wanted to shoot off. Couldn't find my watch so I borrowed my missuses (an old one of mine). Set it to zero and off I went. straight down my road and into Groves, half way up I had to mount the pavement all the way along to Winds. I did most of that on the pavement too, almost to ther mini roundabout. Up Ryef pavement. Along Long until just before post office and across and along the island in front of the shops. Up to the circus point (8.32) Unfortunately the watch din't have lap times so mine are what I remember and approximate. I really flew along the A40 up to Park (15.42). By now my pace was very fast and quite open, feeling I could keep the uphill effort a little longer over the peak. I raced along Park and ran nicely through the lights at the Gardeners. I fewlt i maybe should have run little faster dwon from here. Down to the roundabout (25.48). I did manage a nice run along Hill R and really tried to step up a gear up HillHIll and along to the BP. The run down Long was great too, I really tried to up the anti and I know now that I am back to almost full fitness, the rectus is all but gone now and I think i am now ready to speed up a bit.

West Yorkshire Plodder
A real 'pea-souper' of a six and a half mile run - mainly off-road due to the fog. Had a great time, and was thankful I knew my way up on the 'tops' since I could barely see my hand in front of my face in places!. I need to run in extreme weather more often.
