Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Well I had a very odd run!! It supposed to have been a 10k run at 14.3kph at 1.5 degrees gradient on the gym treadmill. BUT as I ended up working late, felt tired and as the gym is still full of new years resos and very hot (aircon turned off) I could only maintain it for 4K. Then I stepped off and turned away...

... 3 seconds later I felt disgusted with myself and got back on. Ended up doing a bit of an experimental run, dropping the pace but increasing the gradients upto 2.1 degrees. Eventually achieved 12K in 53m 39s... Not a conventional run but perservered none the less.

Trying to work on the running style, so quite an effort. But not as much effort as with the previous go :). 5 miles a bit slow. 40 mins.

I was'nt going to go, I thought I'd do a few K's on the cycle machine cos of the rain. Then my dog,Thomas, started whinging and growling then running to the door so I gave in and he got his own way and I took him out for a run in the rain, my wife says I was subjected to "peer pressure". So it was 10k on the machine and 5K on the road, slowly.

A few weights and a 7.45 mile at lunch on the t/mill.
Tonight a very wet and windy track session - 3x1200m and then 3X400m. Glad to get it over with.

4 miles tempo - set out too fast and suffered 'stitch' for third mile. Ran on practically no sleep, but was happy with overall pace.
