Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Yesterday I drove out to Curbar Gap to try running the route IanM and HeidiM have added to the list of routes here; along Froggat Edge and back along White Edge. A nice six-mile peak-district run.

Sunny, but horribly cold and windy. Two miles in, on a particularly flat and normal piece of road a muscle in my left calf went 'pop' for no apparent reason. Not particularly painful, but it wasn't feeling normal and I knew it wasn't good news. I thought that I'd finish the loop though.

Five minutes later I slip and twist my left ankle. Ow. Perhaps this run wasn't such a good idea. Five minutes later I trip and fall flat on my stomach...owwww. I'm really getting the impression that I should have stayed in bed.

So taking it stupidly steady from there I hobble back to the car...and manage to twist my other ankle on the way. Then I wake up this morning feeling sore and with back ache too (??!???).

Considering how many twists and bumps I had, I don't feel too bad, but I'm giving myself until at least Thursday to heal up a little just to be on the safe side.

Hope everyone else's run was at least slightly better than mine!

Oh, Dipper, you poor soul :( Hope you heal up quickly!

My run today was better than I expected considering I had mashed legs from the weekend. The weather was breezy and occasionally drippy, but in a mildly irritating rather than all-out vicious sort of way. 7 miles easy :)
