Pushed myself out of the door this morning. I wanted to go but I think my body wanted an easy morning. Still out I went, did stretches and was on my merry way. Absolutely beautiful morning in West Middlesex, the sun shining gold in a near clear sky but the wind was howling. Up to the Circus was a slow start but I was OK. I must admit on approaching the shops I almost fancied a run through Ick but I deceided to stay as planned. Mind you I was feeling sluggish up to the roundabout and over the peak (8.38). The A40 was relatively quiet this morning and the length was just run of the mill. No great shakes today (16.31). Park was where the morning came into it's own. As the sun shone down on the Park Farm and cricket ground the scene was a picture as the sun was peeking just above the far copse. Also the common was lit up and long shadows were cast on it's ground. Still the wind blew it's near full force (26.16). First two runners passed me down here. It was obvious that my time was going to be down as I started up Uxb because I felt heavy in the legs but I carried on regardless. Two more runners passwed me by here. After thoughts of maybe just doing the 5, I decided lets get the miles in and I remembered to get my split at the fish shop (38.13) where I passed another runner. the Long was much better, not the fastest but it did feel better than the rest of the run before. I passed a same runner from earlier. That was short lived though as I reached the taxi rank (51.29). Up Honey I passed the same runner again and then another one then another with whom I had a quick couple of sentence chat about being a beautiful morning. At the Court 1.03.23) it was apparent that my time was going to be slower that yesterday but i did have a late night playing Scrabble and I still had yesterdays run in me. However I made one of the fastest finishes down my road for some time so all is not bad. I need to rest a bit as my right Achilles is a little sore and has been for a few days but I passed the 100 for the month so am almost up to date.

Good, the sun was out, the wind had dropped a great day for trying out my new Garmin 101. It appears that I've been running further than I thought I had, measuring a few tried and tested routes with the Garmin over the last few days and comparing them with the routes saved, good for me!
