Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Sticky here too. 7 km tempo. Glad to have done it early. Feel like I have the whole day ahead of me now.

Long and hot - 21m. Met up with Wizlyn in Putney (4m), did a 13 mile loop around the River and Richmond Park, then home. Fairly hard work towards the end as it got hotter and I could feel last Sunday's 50K in the legs

25C, 81% humidity.....oh no , that was osaka for the marathon start.

quite sticky this morning. after 3 miles there is a wooden rail 18" off the ground along the riverside path that i'm taking. As i reach it a squirral jumps off the path in front of me, and runs along the rail. after 30 yards it stops until i catch it up again, then it sets off for another 30 yards or so. Repeat this for the 250 yards of the rail, at the end of which it stops, looks at me again and clears off up a tree.
So apart from having the p*ss taken out of me by a squirrel, it was good thankyou. Very tiring though, at 8.7 miles my longest run this year.

I just managed another 70 mins, including 5 hill reps which got successively quicker. My legs were ragged by the end though.

Christy - I've had sheep and herons do that to me in the past. The heron was beautiful, so I didn't mind, but sheep are just stupid, and I don't like being mocked by stupid creatures. >8¬<

That should read:

12.23 miles in 1.22.02. Not a bad effort with a bit of a head wind at times.
