Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

When you say no notification, do you mean it doesn’t show in recent activity?

‘My’ castle appears to have gone to IainCr but it hasn’t shown up as a loss for me or a gain for him 4,18

I think I'm going to hand over my test place as I'm not feeling the love.

Thank you for the opportunity and I will check back in when it's all shiny and polished. I enjoy FetchPoint and will stick with that in the meantime I think.

Sounds silly, but I'm more motivated by gem stones than coins!

Does it work in the same way as fetchpoint that Aslong as I run through bricks and my castle it doesn’t have to be bricks first and then castle?

Tried multiple start points today to see how it would work, and it's quite an interesting strategy with pros of picking up extra stuff on an out and back, but also bumping into castles you hadn't yet uncovered. I think my aim would be to work to uncover as much of the grid as I could by shifting my start point around slightly, and maybe do that with some stop-starts. At the moment, I keep bumping into castles and losing dynamite before I've collected much (at least I think that's what's happening). I also note there are zombies on a frequently-trodden route of mine if I have my home as the start point. But maybe they'll move around more than a castle will. I'm quite enjoying working out how this all functions and how I can be strategic.

Here's my toolbar and recent activities, with one castle I took over shown (actually £92, was iaincr's I think).

Do castles have a maximum value? I'm thinking that if you had a £200 one, and fortified it further, it might end up nigh-on impregnable. I'm in a very fortunate position where I went far out, gained several castles which are thus fairly unlikely to come under attack, and all I have to do is watch the money roll in.

It does seem that even a moderate cyclist may have a large advantage over all but the keenest runners.

About This Thread

Maintained by fetcheveryone
I have decided to build a new version of Fetchpoint, and for now at least I am calling it Fetchworld.

The original Fetchpoint was first launched in 2011 - and I don't know of anything else that was like it at the time. The closest thing I was aware of at the time was geocaching - but nothing virtual like this. It predated Pokemon Go by five years :-)

As with any code project, what started as a relatively clean chunk of code has taken on various bug fixes, workarounds and the code equi...
