I am currently setting up some Junior Races and I'm curious as to how Parental Consent is managed, it's not at all straightforward - the system is definitely geared towards adults.

I guess if the use of poles and eating hotdogs / drinking whisky is allowed the early start thing wasn’t such a big deal 🤣🤣🤣
flanker 19 Jan 6:33pm, 19 Jan 2025 21,384 posts	Quote Pin flanker I think it implied that an early start was going to happen, which if it is an official one is inline with the new rules, whereas before it was any time after 6:30 (iirc). It'll be interesting to see if this is an early mass start where everybody has to start early together, or just the early start at, say, 6:30 and then anyone who starts after that and before the main one is deemed to have started at 6:30. I don't think they'll be able (within the rules) to have a runner's time starting at whatever early time they dib.
jdawayinamanger 19 Jan 6:36pm, 19 Jan 2025 18,368 posts	Quote Pin jdawayinamanger My reading of the “early start” thing is that it is talking about not wanting ad-hoc ones and twos setting off when they want and it will still be fine to have an early group for slower runners so long as it’s a set time and runners can be readily counted out and in again. But I could be completely wrong!

I guess this may mean they’ll do their best to keep it.
