Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

My dubious newt was waking to the sound of catsick and getting out of bed and going up and downstairs at 5am till I located it *without stretching or putting shoes on first* A first post PF. I’ve been so slow out of bed MrS has done all the small hours clear ups before I’ve got there. So oddly jangly :-)

I've been meaning to do some whittling (aka playing with knives with the excuse of needing to learn for Scouts), and this afternoon I carved a Cork with a sharp implement without injuring anything.
Also moonlighting by working in a different role in the company during annual leave, and I got to see real people as well as entering data!

I was struggling a bit for a newt today. Then I had to go to Tesco and it came to me like a flash of inspiration. I bought some cat food and dropped it into the local cat charity box they have in store.

That's an excellent newt Cath. There is a local animal shelter foodbank type box at the supermarket I usually (or when not in lockdown usually) go to and I sometimes buy an extra bit of dog food or treats too instead of buying for the 'human' foodbank!

.B. sorry to hear about your loss of smell. You may already know about it but there is an online charity that has advice on retraining your sense of smell.

Lovely to hear about meeting new people and being able to see people again. Also loving the flowers :-)

My newt for today is a new washing machine! My old one was 10+ years old so it's a big change. Best part is how quiet the spin is :-)

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
