Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Oh that’s interesting Tomtom, I unearthed a candle making kit which was hiding on top of some bookshelves which I bought in a second hand shop! Would have been before we moved and we’ve been here 15 months! I might get around to making some!

Advertised an item on FB marketplace, never done that before and not sure I would bother doing it again...

I've had mixed responses with FB marketplace but have managed to shift a fair bit of stuff - although still have other items that have had no interest at all.

Love the candles TomTom.

I have ordered a newt parkrun wristband, because even if I could find mine (and I can't) it has my parent's old phone number as the ICE. If the number still exists, and I suppose it might, it presumably belongs to whoever bought their house back in 2017.

What is my newt today? I’m going to download a new book I think, nearly finished my current two. Time to indulge in some proper reading instead of falling asleep over a book for 5 minutes

I've started a newt crochet blanket. It's squares which I usually avoid but the colours are fab.

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
