Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Read Flatlanders blog!

It may well be that it's not a head thing - but what price the risk?
Put it this way - if it was *me* with that history (And I hardly ever access medical services!) I would not hesitate to get a scan

If they scan you and it turns out that you're just brewing up a dose of tonsillitis, that's OK. If they assume it's a dose of tonsillitis and don't scan you and it turns out that you're brewing up a blood clot in your head, that's negligence - and a potential personal catastrophe.

And don't go understating your symptoms or making light of it because you don't want to look like a daisy. Tell 'em what you're telling us.

Why are you worrying about the cost? The potential seriousness eliminates the need to even think about it! After all the scanners will be running anyways and you will just fit in the system when you can. Stop worrying about wasting time, money etc and go get seen too. Do not mention you went to Wexham Pk.... they have no way of really checking! Just stick to the facts and get them to sort you out.

Off you go now :-)

Yes it probably is expensive. But its being funded by everyone here who pays any sort of taxes.

Ergo the scans being paid for by the very people who are telling you to go get it done.

Get thee to the hospital......
