No, don't worry about the cost.
Are you at home on your own? Because maybe you shouldn't be. I had a (mercifully painful but unproblematic) bang to the noggin a few years back and two of my GP friends refused to leave me unsupervised.
*not a medic disclaimer* I'd try a different hospital though.
Also don't worry about the cost you're entitled to the service. And anyway what really racks up the bills for the health service isn't dealing with acute events it's managing the long term conditions, many of which are associated with inactivity, poor diet, smoking etc.

I just thought. I had a CT scan 2 years ago.... shall I post it to Wexham Pk and they can just use it for every head injury patient for the future? It showed I had broken my nose but no head injury. Would save them a fortune. They could just hold up the scans and say 'Looks fine to me'................ although there would be a high increase in nose fractures reported.

Get yourself to an A&E department in a hospital with a scanner, NOW! This comes from a first responder. If I were called, I'd have you despatched to A&E fortwith and would not let you drive yourself, i.e. I'd call the ambulance!
These things should be taken VERY seriously, without wanting to scaremonger. It is what A&E departments are for. This is how the NHS is set up, now go and use the system, you paid for it through your taxes. Don't even think about how much it costs or about wasting people's time! It is our job and best to be safe rather than sorry... Your life is worth more than the use of a scanner costs.

P.S. the cost of looking after you if it is a brain injury and you leave it too long is going to be higher than the use of the scanner to rule it out! If that helps...

You mean you made all that fuss and got us all worried about you and there was sod-all wrong with you? Pah
(I hope this means you've been scanned and declared bleed-free.)
