Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I’ve reduced reps per set and found I can manage more overall 😀

I've just upped the number of reps from 15 per set to 20 per set. No issues so far.

Same here Ultradunc. I tried increasing to 40 rep sets which were OK. Gone back to sets of 30 which much more comfortable and getting lots more sets in over the day.

I think the biggest set I ever tried was a 20. No idea what I’d be able to do if I can ent I’m for a max reps set. Doing them in 12s this morning was a step up for me.

Nice work, Nellers.

I'm going to try a different form by keeping my elbows by my sides (if that makes sense). I know this is going to be hard work, but then I started from zero with my regular form, and am up to 15. So there is hope.

They are harder Kath but 'proper' apparently so well worth doing.

Kath, that’s how I do some of mine. It works triceps and deltoids more that a wider stance does. I was given them to rehab a shoulder injury last year by a physio. I’ve been mixing them with regular press ups since.

So if a nerve in my elbow goes 'ping' when I do press-ups this way, should I worry?
