I run for Quakers RC which is based in Darlington. After a 2:59 and 3:00 marathon in late spring 2012, I relaxed a little and now am starting to pick the training back up with the aim of improving on all my times from 5km to the marathon.
I had a fast Good for Age entry into VLM in 2013 and I ran 2:50:04. I'm relaxing on the marathon training for the next 18 months. I ran the first York Marathon in October and finished in 2:48:28. I aim to now become a stronger runner overall by working on my conditioning, strength and speed. I have qualified for the 2015 VLM Championship start by running a 1:14:29 half marathon in Sunderland. With a 10k PB of 33:58 and a 5k PB of 16:31, I am no longer that bothered about chasing times. I want to race and do well in races.
