The outright winner was deemed to be a coffee service: hot water, coffee (presumably an espresso) and milk, served in three individual test tubes, to be mixed by the customer....

On the menu was tea 80p and coffee £1.10. There were 2 old ladies serving and they made a cup of good old-fashioned instant coffee, served in a cup and saucer with a spoon. Aaahhh - the simple life.

I can almost get the teabag thing; my mum and brother both believe that tea should be made by taking the teabag out a soon a you've finished poi ring the hot water on it. My dad and I believ you should walk a few miles while you're waiting....

My theory is that you get a more milky tea with the milk going in first whereas putting it in after allows you to judge its strength better. Neither of us are prepared to budge!
