Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Might have posted this before but if I did it was years ago and it's still doing my nut in. (Have seen it three times today already.)

Young mothers with forward facing pushchairs (or buggies as they're now commonly know) talking on their phones and engaging in ZERO interaction with their children. No wonder there are so many kids starting school now who have difficulty stringing a sentence together.

Same young mothers who then push that buggy into the road between parked cars when they can't see the road properly

I'm totally with you, z1000jeff. The child is more important than their friend on the phone - no excuse! 'Young' is usually the way too, and not just being non-maternal towards their child.

Coffee.

Or more specifically, being forced to answer 20 questions when I try to order one.

Apparently, the correct answer to all 20 isn't "I'm not American, just put some instant in a mug and pour boiling water on it"

Yes. I have a similar reaction to the amount of questions you get in Subway and that is one of many reasons I avoid going in them if at all avoidable.

Similarly....being asked if I want milk with my Americano. If I wanted milky/white coffee I would have ordered it... tea *coffee*

[The worst I ever get is, "Large black coffee? No problem. Do you want milk with it?" I obviously don't look like someone to whom it's worth trying to upsell.]
