Update on my delivery:
19:44 We have attempted to deliver your parcel. We make two attempts to deliver it before holding it securely at our depot. The second attempt has been now scheduled for the next working day.
Wrong! I have been home all day and no-one has called, neither have they dropped a card through my letterbox. It probably should say that they were too busy or had a shortage of drivers, etc. Not imply that it was my fault.

Fragile Do Not Bend
Bloody Parcelforce leaving a parcel that weighs nearly 20kg by my gate at the end of our very long drive, instead of coming to the house with it. I had to take the wheelbarrow down there and unpack the box into it, in order to get it back to the house.

drivers who would rather tailgate me in the middle lane of the motorway instead of using the absolutely empty right-hand lane to overtake.

not specifically in relation to Chris' post ^ but it reminded me of something, having done a fair bit of motorway driving in the past few days: middle lane drivers who are oblivious to the empty inside lane and seem to be unaware that the middle and outside lanes are only for when overtaking. they're often pootling along at about 50mph and holding everyone up, too.

Drivers who don't check their lights on their trailers before setting off. Behind one this morning with no tail lights and couldn't see the tail lights on the land rover towing it. If it had been dark I would not have seen it at all.

Drivers undertaking at speed! On M1 the other day, I was in middle lane having just pulled out to allow vehicles to join at a junction. Just about to pull back into inside lane (I did check my mirrors first!) when a **** speeds past on my near side (must have been doing well over 80, as I was doing 70!) ... had a right Tena Lady moment as my life flashed past my eyes 🤪😳🤬

[when i did my driving test back in the 80s, the first question the instructor asked me was "you're on a motorway doing 70mph. there is no traffic in front of you and none behind. There are no junctions or any other concerns for the next few miles. what lane should you be in?" I got it right... on my third guess ]

[It's a challenge isn't it, when there someone doing 65 in the outside lane, and you're waiting to get past, and the two lanes inside have space to pass if you go against the rules. Even worse when there's a queue of traffic waiting to pass!]
