Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

[passing on the near side is not the same as undertaking and is permissible I believe]

Oh, I’ve passed someone in lane 3 when I’ve been in lane 1 (and nothing in lane 2) a few times. I’m not going to hang back because they are being an idiot.

Don’t think I’ve ever been the driver when there’s 3 lanes ;-)

Yeah you should drive in the left hand lane unless overtaking. If there’s an empty road do 70 in the left hand lane.

I did hear of someone doing donuts round a middle lane driver: overtake in 3rd lane, move back to inside lane, slow down and when middle laner goes by, repeat...

It's sometimes so tempting to do that.

I often move out to the 3rd lane then at the earliest opportunity (ie immediately!) indicate and purposefully move across to the inside lane again

I just drive up really close to the car sitting in the middle lane and gently nudge their rear.

[Not really, but I do sometimes think it...]

I do the same as Gordon - on occasions they have been known to take the hint and move to the inside lane
