Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

the last time I had someone 'local' phone me, I asked him where he was based.

"London", he said
"Where abouts?"
"er... London Road"
"Where's that, exactly?"
"Um... London".

The phone number was actually a local dialling code but the 6 digit phone number (in old money) began with a 1.

That it needs at least 35 replies to tell the person who asked on FB about outage of sky and broadband - why does everyone need to say they have problems too…

Lip Gloss ... that gets me in general on Facebook ... someone asks a question, first comment provides exactly the answer but then another 50 commenters all reply giving the same damn answer ... do people not read previous comments before deciding whether those answers are good enough or not?

Almost as bad, or equally as bad, as the others that answer 'I don't know'.

Delivery people who insist on standing on the doorstep clutching the parcels, put it down and step away, covid is still a problem! Thankfully we have a porch with a door so at least I can indicate to them before opening up.

I had a delivery yesterday and the chap insisted on taking a photo of it by the door before he'd give it to me. He then picked it back up and handed it over.

We get the odd delivery driver who will ring more than once, bang on the door, leave the package, slam the porch door and walk away. All before I get to the door.
