Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Fleecy, that is the phrase that I utter the most while driving.

Tonight, that girl in the Direct Line advert who chews chewing gum whilst talking is really annoying me.

Earnest people with health-related job titles and a great deal less education and experience than we have coming in and making primary-school-level suggestions about things we might like to try to do to manage our challenging patients. They don't seem to realise that the suggestions they make are insultingly elementary and it would be SUCH bad manners if we were to do anything other than smile and say, "Yes, that's a very good idea, and this is what happened when we tried that a million years ago."

[We suffer from that in Education too, V'rap. Has it been suggested that you give them a sticker chart yet? *rolls eyes*]

[D'you know, GM, I wonder whether we're overestimating the level at which some of our ambulance/A&E frequent fliers are operating and whether they actually need something as elementary as a sticker chart to stop them calling 999 and demanding morphine injections. I'm going to suggest that at the care planning meetings.]

[I have emailed my colleagues with that suggestion. It might make them think I've gone off my rocker again and send me home for a few months.]

Waking up feeling like I'd actually been doing the bicycling and tricycling I had dreamt as I was doing.
