Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

My son who is having a bit of a sulk because I won't drive him down to the sweet shop. It is only a five minute walk. My argument is that if he really wants some sweets he would walk. He says Mum would drive him. I said she wouldn't, but as she's not here at the moment, it's a bit of a moot point. He has said he will drive himself down there and has taken the keys and is sitting in the car waiting for me to cave in in fear that he may actually try driving. In fact, this is making me smile.

He has just got out, returned the keys, and is now walking down.

I never drive my kids anywhere except for tennis and violin (both 3 miles away and over a big hill) so they wouldn't bother asking me for a 5 minute walk. Occasionally ds1 will whine if we walk the mile into town, but he knows it's quicker to walk, plus he doesn't have to listen to me saying 'Is it National Drive Like A Fuckwit Day again?'
