Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

People who conduct conversations in their mobile phone whilst using the toilet! It's utterly disgusting, I can't imagine it's pleasant for the person on the other end of the conversation and it's certainly annoying for anyone who happens to be in the cubicle next to you.

[I wish I could say this was a one off, but there seem to be multiple offenders in our building]

[My husband often can't get a long enough gap between his work calls to go to the loo so he sometimes is on the loo on the phone. That's when he's working from home, can't speak for what happens when he's in the office!]

I sometimes went to the loo when my mum rang for a chat. I must point out that this was solely for a joke and would not do it otherwise!

I have an issue with people being too obsessed with their mobiles anyway, so it grinds my gears enough when used in a public place, car or the loo.

I used to be grumpy with mobile users in all sorts of ways. I have a smartphone now and I must be honest. Not so much stuff bothers me.

The loo one does.

[My mobile is a valuable coping strategy for my anxiety in crowds - I'm one of the few mobile users who actually looks where he's going though. Except on deserted streets - then I have been known to wander into a lamp-post.]

At least the ladies here are spared gents using mobiles whilst making use of a urinal...I've actually seen senior managers at work do that.
