Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

An extra pet hate of mine is where they - usually senior management - walk into the loo, already on a call, whip out their schlong, commence weeing and continue to hold a conversation. At the end to be fair they usually, one-handedly, wash that hand and dry it and then walk out still on the call.

I always try to make as much noise as possible so the person on the other end of the line is aware where the call is being conducted.

PtB - when I leave the bathroom I don't tend to use the same pushplate/handle as the one I used to enter. So in theory, one side is riddled in germs, the other *should* be clean after people wash their damn hands. Like we (should) impress upon children at a young age - just because you're older, doesn't mean you should forget about basic hygiene.

And yes, people not washing their hands after their ablutions is a major gear grinder of mine. You dirty, dirty bastards.

If you wash you hands each time you walk out.

*McGoohan I once heard a chap 'on the throne' in the trap next door, on a conference call. He made a couple of contributions as well, they might they heard where he was as his arse blew like Krakatoa (probably why he HAD to go during the call). Although he may have muted that and the flush to get away with it....*

I get a tad concerned about race portaloos as the only washing method is the handwash/gel stuff (if there's any left in the dispenser). After leaving, you end up eating jelly babies/beans that are being offered as well as what you are carrying yourself. You may be a bit worried about your own hands' cleanliness but what about the dozens of people who have had their hands in the same box of sweets?

I *never* eat proffered jelly babies (plus I think they're mank to begin with)

McG, ref the TOTP comment, presumably it was a schlong distance call?

All I can say in general on this topic is thank the Lord for a fully functioning immune system and hydrochloric acid!
