Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Apparently I'm in the car park, so about 40 metres out. Not bad seeing as I'm indoors really ;)

I use the Map My Run app to chart all my runs. I find it very accurate.

Dochart, it'll be using WiFi network locations and IP addresses. V. Sneaky stuff.....

I've left my Garmin 405 at home a few times (age and forgetfulness!) and so ended up installing RunKeeper (the free version) on my mobile in an emergency on the way to a 10k race! I've discovered it's pretty accurate/comparable all things considered, and in one or two odd places where my Garmin has a persistent blind spot (like outside my offices is one :()it's actually better looking at the resulting map.

It was about 1/4 of a mile out as the crow flies, or 1/2 mile by road with me, put me at the other side of the estate
