Useful thread, this. I'm hoping to run Chicago next year and you're not allowed hydration vests so getting an idea of what else peeps use is helpful.

Naked running band is awesome Mark. You can have all gels and water with you along with the phone and so on. I was baffled about how much that one swallowed and was ok to run with. |

Never used to take a phone. Fell on the canal and no one stopped to help. Always carry one now.

I can imagine it for safety / security though. Only time I was on a longer run and had an actual accident where I could have done with a lift home, I did not have a phone with me. But once in ... checks Fetch log ... 25,073.3 miles 4108 runs 4193 hrs 06 mins 11 secs ... isn't a bad safety margin / ratio! G

Seeking advice on the best way to do this. I've tried armbands and waistpacks in the past but they were bargain basement cheapies so doubtless there's better out there. I've seen adverts for vest-type holders as well. I've got a couple of hydration vests but the pockets aren't big enough. Phone is a Xiaomi.
Quick access would be ideal. I got bitten by a dog this morning and it would have been good to take a photo of it and its owner.
