I postponed my usual lunch run today because I felt sorry for myself, and it was raining. 5 h later, I hadn't mustered up any new energy, as I had told myself would be the case So off I went for a “just go out and try to do what you can, and just go home if you start to cry-run” I ran slow, very slow, and it was still an effort. But after a while I stopped feeling sorry for my self and it felt pretty nice. Not easy, but nice to be out. The scents in the woods after a rain in middle of the summer is really amazing. It was as humid as a rainforest, and it wouldn’t have mattered if it were raining or not, I was still soaked. As always it’s nice to get it done, and besides the damn snake that ambushed me, it was as nice as always, only in a different way. 😄

Since my watch thinks I am doing a race on the weekend, I only had 10/18 threshold/10 mins to do, so I avoided getting wet

Nice session on a lovely evening just let down by a fall less than half mile from home battered and bruised knees and left elbow. The summer solstice sunset didn’t disappoint in South Yorkshire
