Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Didn't have a mens team for the last race, doubt there would've been enough for today's race either (3 ladies to count, 4 men). Of course I suppose I could run as an individual but I just get that disheartened being so far down the field when all the guys are standing about waiting to start. I'll maybe talk myself in to going to the next one (January I think?) regardless of whether there's a team or not.

Just had to prioritise what I use my petrol on until payday - getting to work was more important that getting to a race! Anyhoo, I managed to get my long run done today too while I was playing in the mud :)

Running as an individual was what I was thinking (with maybe a mens team to support), I guess that would change the atmosphere a bit though.

The mens race doesn't start until after the womens race finishes, so a lot of the guys don't turn up until either just before or after the womens race has started. I'm not sure how the 'declarations' thing works; the couple of times I've run in the league XC races someone else has delat with that side of things.

For cross country leagues, there is normally no declaration, rather the team is decided on the 3, 4 or 6 eligible counters to finish for each team.

I think you have to declare all your clubs runners that are racing before the race start

I think that just involves the team manager handing in a list of names and collecting the numbers.

I ran my first club XC less than two years ago :-o ;-)
