Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Thanks for reminding me Rach :-) Yes I really should have a go shouldn't I? I have been a bit scared of running hard since my injury. I need to rac again to get my confidence back. I'm racing 10k tomorrow and next week oh and 5k next Sat :-)

Ooh nice, I can do garish :-)

Do you tend to get them the same size as your running shoes?

Yes. Sometimes a size larger as they're very snug. It's worth trying on a few pairs. I have some Mizunos (they were cheap and felt ok) and Gobi has some Pumas in the worst green possible (choice for him was determined by them being the cheapest in the shop!).

I went half a size up, my normal size is 9.5 but in spikes they were too tight. 10's were perfect.
Seems to be the norm with spikes, so i was told :-)

I had the NIKES and as you know I love my NIKES but the foot plate on the XC spikes is not good if you get the concrete bits. I broke 2 pairs in 2 years.

G - Thats not good. I am concerned with the concrete areas when wearing spikes. The Nike was the most comfy spike i tried on which basically swung it for me.

Way im looking at it is if i can get a seasons wear out of a pair then great, and at £25 good value.
