Yes, brilliantly timed, however Leek is legendary it has its own climate, one year it was so bitter that the juniors were all running up the last bit before the finish line crying because of the cold. There was a crowd of St John's ambulancemen waiting with foil blankets to whisk them over to the warm school hall. I do like the N Staffs League, more challenging courses than Birmingham, although at least the Birmingham League ones change round every year.

No idea what the course is like - I haven't run it before but it's not suitable for spikes so I'll give my new Peregrine trail shoes their competitive maiden outing.
