Bovingdon Airfield (near Hemel Hempstead where my mum lives) actually probably only 40mins from you. It is 5x 2K laps which might you may love or hate.

Thanks! I’ll take a look. I could do with something to focus on.

Can you guarantee a calm day 😂😂😂?

I’m afraid I can’t. That’s the risk you take, but I guess you’ll only get the wind in your face for half of it!

I ran the Dorney Lake Marathon that was organised by them and it was well organised and supported.

So I’ve got 3 weeks until my 10K and I think the marathon is out of my legs now. Any suggestions on what sessions I should do next week and the week after to get me ready? I was thinking some 800s next week and some 1K intervals the week after?

My general fitness is good but I don’t have much speed in the legs so I want to remember what it feels like.

I think I can normally turn the pace I can achieve in 5*5 mins off 2 mins in to 5 mile pace. Perhaps 5*6 mins would be an indicator of 10k pace? Or 2*2 miles?

I wouldn’t do anything less than km reps if preparing for a 10k.

Good luck!

3 x 2miles @ 10k pace off 5 mins. Killer sesh but always bang on for me if done about 10 days out from a 10k race!
