Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

My friend and I were queueing a pub (for a coffee) close to the start of the Great North Run recently. The runner in front was caught out at the till, because the contactless facility wasnt available for amounts less than a fiver. So my pal who was behind her, paid for her coffee and said, just pass it on sometime. "I like that" said the young lady and "of course I will". Nice seeing both the gesture and the response.

One of the children’s teachers mentioned how she liked the gel pens I'd used in a reading record, I took some in for her today. She was very very happy

I do like a random act of kindness! Paced a friend at parkrun yesterday as I didn’t have any plan. She got under 24 minutes and was happy so I was happy as well.

Not really random, but I've started buying items to donate to the food bank box in the local library on occasions when I'm buying junk for myself.

So far, I've left a tin of custard, some UHT apple juice, and baby wipes.

I saved a honey bee trapped in a spiders' web, just as the spider was trying to weave it in further I've seen so few honey bees this year I couldn't bear to see its demise. (I'm sure the spider won't go hungry for long)

That’s truly kind TeeBee :-)

I paid two random shoppers a compliment yesterday, I was rewarded with thank you and a smile :-)
