There are some other oddities with the 5 - it doesn't play as nicely with bicycle power meters and the like as it should. Binters has a 3. It's huge but manages to look great on her. I'm another serial upgrader for what it's worth. Recent progression: 310xt - 930xt - 735xt - Fenix5S |

Ive now discovered I can set strength workouts in custom (well I know it’s oissible) so fenix 3 bargain I’ve found (refurbished by amazon with 12m warranty) is looking likely. Despite the rest of me my wrists are small but I do like a big chunky watch so why not!! I can sell the 235 and buy the HR strap when I’m back training!! (Currently sporting a broken foot) Thank you all so much fetchies are awesome!! |

crikey done a search of Fenix 3 on a small wrist is massive!!! I don't mind big but heck! That said that I know I can charge on the go gives me more confidence in it in case I ever do go mental on a 24hr event (haha) So as I said I'm a Libra we don't make decisions.... |

Good point about the ANT reception. Mine is generally fine but occasionally drops just the running dynamics part of the HRM signal, others do worse. It's apparently been reengineered recently to do better, but no way to tell whether you'd get the new model or not. Wrist HRM is patchy for me. When I tested it side by side with a chest strap on a run, it was perfect, but when I've used it on its own, I often see spikes which don't look plausible. |

I can still get HR data if I use a strap, so that's not a problem.

Yes, I use a strap most of the time anyway. When I don't, the wrist reading is better than nothing!

Might have just pressed buy now ....... Fenix 3 in rose gold.... the one that started this journey so seemed the right thing to do. I'll hopefully be able to wear it if not at least its on Prime so I can return. Thanks again
