I said, in my notes when sending over the design: "...note the slimming curves on the vest, where the rainbow meets the black". I said this to make sure that they reflected the slight curve I'd photoshopped onto the rainbow bits on the side of the vest. However, instead of seeing this as a pattern note, they assumed I wanted to change the cut. Although some folks seem very happy with the cut, and others have been extremely kind, I am pretty gutted that this has happened, and will make sure that next time I make it clear that we want their standard cut, which seems to have served us well for the last decade :-/ Sorry folks.

I've been there, big-time, in fact when I used a new-to-us supplier for the club kit some years back. Between them and me we got the Pantone colour wrong (one shade too pale - I'd given them the correct Pantone code but not the gradation as I didn't know there was a suffix required, and they didn't come back to ask (I'd sent them an old vest so they could/should have compared anyway) and we had stock left on our hands for ages and ages while people complained about 'it being the wrong purple'
