More tumble practice. Having to find the wall with my feet & still a bit disoriented(?) but managing continuous swimming at points.

good swim this am, short course pool but had some extra time so managed 3.8k :) wasn't exactly nonstop, lots of drills but pace was good too and pool was not too busy just enough to motivate me to swim fast.

Very steady 1500m this morning. Haven't been in the water for two weeks due to a bit of tummy surgery (inguinal hernia)

1km in the lido, had the 'medium' lane entirely to myself the whole time :-)

Goggles were a nuisance though - I think the seal is not as good as it was :-(

I had my 1:1 swim session this week. I loved it.
I've done a piece for the podcast about it, so tune in on Monday to hear what it was like.

Tumble Turns in the shallow end are doubly awkward as there are nearly always folks resting, plus my I'm tall. Got one right tonight though, deep end turns all but one were ok. Ready for continuous swims with tumble turns soon I hope.

Today's swim is dedicated to Elsie Too. Following her piece on the podcast I really focused on keeping my looking down rather than forward and with as little head movement as possible and I had my fastest swim for over a year.

First time I have swum before work since the pool moved to winter hours (so opens at 8:00am compared with 5:30am.) It was almost deserted so I had a lane to myself for the whole swim.
