Forest Runner
Still going well. Had to squeeze in 16 miles before coming to work. Not the most enjoyable run, probably just because I had to fit it in rather than do it when I wanted and relax afterwards. Now stuck in the gym until 8:00pm.

Did a half today, first half went well (47:27 split) but then the sun came out and it got VERY HOT (29 degrees), well that's unbearable for me anyway. Kept a slower pace up until about 8 miles then had to stop as I felt dizzy and just too hot to do anything. Ended up walking for about 2 miles, with a small stop and sat in the shade for a few minutes, then managed to run the rest at a slowish pace. So second half was 62:28! But I only used it for a training run, since I did a 10K on Friday.

I don't envy you FR, working this time on a Sunday - not nice.
I had a really nice 14 miler this morning. Went a little faster than usual but no too fast. It was quite warm but the nice breeze kept it bearable. Load of flies though...
LLL, if it's the 305 it doesn't calculate calories burnt properly at all :-). Walking for that distance would more likely result in a 500 ish calorie burn...

I had the biggest run of my marathon training (and life) today. 22 miles! It went really well. I used my new Camelbak thing and didn't stop once. Not something I've ever done before (the not stopping). Very happy with self.

Well... read this first.
I bought the Camelbak Flashflo. It's a bumbag-style thing that is supposedly designed for runners and holds 1.4 litres. It was the first time using it today. I filled it to the max and it's IMPOSSIBLE AND PAINFUL to use when it 100% full. Running with a bouncing bowling ball strapped around your waist would be comparable. It wasn't until I drank a bit out of it that it worked. When about 80% full it was good and fitted quite well. As the run went on it was more and more comfortable. In the end I'd decided it was quite good - I just wouldn't fill it up that full next time.
Note! It says it holds 1.4 litres. But I didn't measure that out. I just filled it to the brim and then some. Maybe if I measured out 1.4 litres it wouldn't have filled it so much.

Well done Keefy, brilliant!
SB, I have a Platypus which is very similar to a camelbak and they are worth it.
I used mine today on my 14 miler and I'm glad I had it because I was sweating in buckets...Despite drinking quite a bit of water I still lost 4 pounds in body weight temporarily... Would have been in trouble without it (the platypus)

I use the type that fits in a small backpack which also comes in handy for keys, phone etc... I tighten the straps so it doesn't bounce and it feels fine...
