A chilly hour by the sea tonight: 3 layers on top, and my 'comfortable' shorts. A chap walking an English Mastiff, sporting a collar of red lights, were the only living beings I saw. Firm sand, and tide a good 300 yards out. 1 hour + 39 sec.

Started doing some strength exercises on my hamstrings etc yesterday so will continue with them. It was one of the things I was doing leading up to my Pb

Well done Toks! I had a bad run today, got my booster jab on Saturday and felt really tired yesterday. Went out this morning intending to do a long run and felt leaden from the start. Heartrate was very high, and jumped up to 195 beats per minute whilst running 10 minute miles (the most I had seen previously was 188 in a sub 8 minute mile parkrun!) Cut my long run short, and will see how I feel before doing club speed session tomorrow

That doesn’t sound good minimag what has your resting HR been like are you coming down with something ? Sounds nice Bowman but it’s to be expected to have a bit of stiffness in the legs after a marathon
