4am this morning I was up with no 1 sons coughing and the gales and rain lashed at our windows, I thought no way. Come 8.30 all was at peace, No 1 son off to school and I pulled on the trainers - 2 hours and 15 miles later I get in and all hell has broken loose outside. Someone is smiluing on my run today even if it wasn't me

I also enjoyed myself in the blowy conditions today. When the wind's so strong it lifts you off your feet you can try some proper affletic striding - I almost looked like I was moving today!!!!
Yeah - check out my back-lift - oh yeah - I'm running now - can you see that......

My run was stupid, just stupid. This from my log:
Well that was just ridiculous! Out and back to canoe lake along seafront. Out was okay although being bashed around by the wind, back was just mental. It's fair to say that's the strongest wind I have ever run in - at a couple of points around the headland I actually stopped moving forward, and my average pace dropped to 12 minute miles! Still, good to get back out there and do some of this running malarky.
