Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

AM - 4 miles @ 7:15 pace - felt good, surprisingly fresh after yesterday's longer run.
PM - 3 miles @ 7:15 pace - Ironically much less tired on this run and loved the hard terrain on the country hills.

My first double session, frees up much more time for me to do my work and revision, and enables me to do more miles. Plus double the fun! I've cranked up the volume this week as the track season come's nearer - I'm sure I will get a reality check with the track efforts tomorrow!

Don't know if 'run' is the right word. On the hills near church Stretton. Safety kit carried including ice axe. Crampons and gaiters on from the start. The dog slid down the hill several times on the thin ice. Had to catch her a couple of times and hold onto her to give her a rest. Snow drifts on various parts which made the going jolly difficult and slow. Absolutely wrecked by the time we finished :-) Still a cracking run, with amazing views over South Shropshire hills :-)

Cross between being in a freezer & a wind turbine, pretty much the same old shite day in day out. What happened to 'global warming'? ..... oh yeah I forgot it's now been changed to 'climate change'

Random episode of pins and needles in my right foot again this morning. Started feeling it about 6k in and continued throughout my run. At one point it felt like the whole of the front of my foot from the ball to the toes was numb. Really messes with proprioception and makes me want to rock back onto my heels.

Managed to ignore it and finish the 10k. Pins and needles stopped as soon as I did!

I get that sometimes - it's usually because my shoe is laced too tight or my ankle socks have too much elastic in them.

last nights, the social run, from Church Stretton, not too high, steady pace, enjoyable, chatting, stunning view of the moon over the hills. Then a couple of social pints after :-)

Tempo 3 miles with 0.5 miles WU/WD

Comfortably hard, set off well and pushed the pace averaging 6:05 pace which isn't too bad when I consider that I climbed over 45m from start - finish and a lot of that was grass / xc.

I'm hurting now... last run of the week later this evening!
