No run today, but just recounted my marathon step by step in the race report. If anyone is struggling to sleep I recommend a quick read. That'll do the trick...
Good luck on Sunday, Ian. Is it worth betting on you?

To be honest I had written most of in an email to my running mentor, Riga. Kind of like my Mr Miyagi from Karate Kid!

I really don't know if I could have gone quicker, TMW. The first 23 miles felt really easy and really slow. I think most of the slight wobble was due to the wind. If it had been a little warmer and I wasn't focused on 3:10 then 3:05 should have been on. I don't think I've built up enough endurance for sub-3 yet though.

A fastish 3M for me. Went well. Have a 10K training plan to follow so feel like I'm back on it. Since Amsterdam I've noticed I am useless without a goal. So my new goal is to do the big 10K in Brussels before Christmas (there aren't many good races in Belgium). I've never done a 10K and I want to give my legs a bit of a break from the marathon mileage before starting up for Paris next year.
