I remember the first time i ran 3 miles very well, it seemed ridiculous that i had run so far.

hopefully in a year i can look back and think of all those early miles i ran...but i think i do well for the time i have spare. I try and get out every second day, but i am worried about what to do in the winter with it being dark at 8am and then at 4pm...i can trun during the day because im either at uni or in a school placement!! ..:(

Well done everyone but especially Rebel and Siouxsie, you are both coming on strong which is great. Be careful though, you would be surprised at how easily you can end up doing too much. You are both doing great though :-). Like Hendo I can remember runnig my first two miles without having to stop for oxygen(almost) and I couldn't believe I would ever be able to do that.
Nothing wrong with entering the 10K Siouxsie and going along for the fun of it. You are under no pressure from anyone to put in a great time, just get round, you will do that on the training you are doing.
Had a great run tonight; really enjoyed it.
2.5 miles warm up cool down at just over 8 min miling then 5 miles at just under 7:30 min miling.
Felt strong until last half mile of 5 miles but I was on a hill so understandable really. Looking good for Sunday's Clumber Park 10K

im sure i will feel the same...:) i just want to do it for me...not for a race..which is a bit of a contradiction because i know a race would motivate me and give me great satisfaction, but i suppose at the moment its the unknown...

Good work PPB, well done.
Cheers A65, really enjoyed myself. Gonna do an easy one tomorrow, maybe some mile repeats or something on Thursday then rest until Sunday
Be careful with the legs though. I'm sure you already know but It's so easy to give in to temptation and go too hard too quickly and you don't wanna be doing that! :-).
