Marathon Lads
The most perfect run
Tonight i went without Phillip to the club - and i went with the experienced group - we ran for about 1 hour 15
it was pure heaven, it was a hard run, thirsty hot and humid, it was tranquil, relaxing, so so enjoyable, most perfect in every way you can think of
i cannot think of the last time i had such an enjoyable run with fellow runners on my own
it's made me feel so real good again - i don't have much ME time, but it did me the world

Very good did 15 miles, set of at 7am and it was nice and cool. Kept HR at 150 ish giving 10mm, last 3 miles were hard work but was well pleased with the outcome. The strange thing though is that I set of at 7am, went down to the river and nature reserve then back onto the roads at about 9 miles. At this point i realised how quite and peacfull it had been before I hit all the rush hour traffic and people just setting about there business for the day.

It was early which is not usual for me - I'm generally an evening man. Was around six miles and only have a vague idea how long it took. Was a pleasure to run without watch or Garmin for a change. British Sea Power kept me entertained on the iPod.

A traumatic 5 miles on road, beach & trail - tripped over and made 2-point landing, right knee coming off worst. 2 peeps to witness - as always. Dusted myself off and shared my woes with the Iron Men on Crosby beach - one had a wet suit on, another a shapely swimming costume, both in orange. Cheered me up.

Felt quite good today and did 10.62 miles @ 7:50 min/mile. I had been feeling a bit tired in the last couple of weeks so changed my training regime. I now do a reasonably hard run and then a recovery run on alternate days.

Soooooo wet! 4 mile trail race as day 2 of 5 days in the "Tour of Fife" series. Very downhill and then very uphill (about 1000feet), giving some crazy mile splits: 6.04 5.41 7.37 11.24. Phew! Had to walk a few of the steep bits (rock steps coming out of the glen).
Really enjoyed it actually.
