Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

How many miles do you get out of a pair of road shoes?

I do get decent mileage out of my shoes, but I do have four pairs of road shoes on rotation. The Triaxes I wore for the Hull Marathon won't see light of day again until London next week, by which time the cushioning should have spung back.

I'm getting around 300-350 and I only have to ditch them because the heels are so done in. It's really annoying as they are OK in every other way. I actually tried cutting out the worn bits and evo-sticking in a "new" section cut from another pair of shoes. It worked up to a point but was a lot of faffing around with sharp knives etc. Now I just buy New Balance or Adidas from TK Maxx for £25 a pair and that eases my financial pain somewhat.

I just had to retire a pair at 660 miles: the soles and outers were fine, but I wore through the lining in one place on the inside and it gave me a horrible blister.

My F-lite 230s are just coming up to 1000 miles, with small holes in the uppers and soles pretty worn. I hope they'll be good for a few hundred more.

Was just going to ask this question when I found this old thread.

I am currently wearing Asics and am having issues with my knee which is normally the first sign that my shoes are needing to be replaced but yet again I am only at the 200 miles mark.

Works out blooming expensive
