350-400 from my Mizuno Wave Creations. Bit heavy on my right heel - always wears out first, long before the rest. V. annoying.
But really notice it when I get nice new shoes

I never used to get more than 250 miles out of a pair, usually 200. Since switching to midfoot I've just hit 375 in my F-lite 230s and they are still fine. I weigh more than 16st, so never had high expectations, but I'm saving a fortune (ignoring the shoes I worked my way through after they became too cushioned in the transition, of course). Giveaway used to be my knees, or a string of niggles after runs in a particular pair.

Tends to be 300 miles - The inside of my right shin and calf shout out when my Asics need changing .. Although in fairness I squeaked 400 miles out of my last pair but was a tad tender.

Nothing like a new pair of shoes. Taking a new pair for test runs this week to break in for Brighton they are 15 mile in so far.

until they fall apart generally.

For my f-lites that will be somewhere 700-1000 miles, which given my 15+ stone bulk seems a reasonable return. I repair wear spots on the sole with Shoe Goo, so it generally tends to be when the uppers disintegrate and the sole falls off (I can live with the big holes in the uppers :-))

I know err on the side of caution - a couple of years ago I had an achilles issue, & when I examined by shoes - Mizunos, much loved and nearing the 250 mark at the time - I realised were badly worn on the heel of the relevant shoe, matching where the problem was exactly. Since then I've tended to have 2 pairs on the go, and I have just replaced another much loved pair of Mizunos with some asics. Whilst walking and running may not be too closely related, I know I am heavy on all my shoes - frequent re-heeling required - so I'm sure it's one of those things where guidelines can't be too rigid?
