The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free.
But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient.
Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead.
Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?
Yes, like the no spoiler rule. I race model cars on a Sunday and some of the guys dip into the F1 on their phones (Sky app, presumably) and we're all shouting Noooo! because we've got it on record or highlights to watch later.
Poor Leclerc in qualifying. Ferrari are like a British political party in their ability to plan and organise and then react. He made it fun to watch trying to come from the back though! A surprising amount of overtaking for Monaco - even in the pit lane! What do we think about Verstappen fine for that Red Bull release straight into Bottas?
Hamilton sounded really panicky hanging on to those worn tyres, but the strategists were bang on, weren't they? You can limp around Monaco at the front because no one can really pass you (though Max had a go, of course!) That was fun! G
Yep, I enjoyed the race, seeing Leclerc sending up the inside around Noghes was fun. Annoyed by the idiot Jordan suggesting Leclerc could have got 5th or 6th, there was no chance on a dry circuit.
And then he suggested it was partly boys Bottas' fault for the Verstappen release!!
Was a bit gutted to see Leclerc retire because he was providing most of the drama as he attempted risky overtakes in an attempt to save his weekend.
Im a big Ricciardo fan so annoying to see his team mess up on strategy yet again where he effectively drops from 5th to 11th. Immense driving to make around 30secs on Grosjean after his pit stop and penalty to steal 9th.
Yeah, a few strategy cockups across the weekend, poor Leclerc in qualifying, Verstappen's release into Bottas (would we blame the team for that? Should they have held him to slot in behind Bottas?) and Ricciardo's unhelpful pit from 5th. Still, made for a good watch! G
Don't really see the need for the spoiler rule - if you're a F1 or GoT or whatever fan, and you haven't watched live, then surely you just don't click on that thread until you have watched - it's not as if you can see the content of the thread anywhere without clicking on it. Your thread though, so your rules
It's not as if I can police it anyway Gus - just a suggestion mainly because there's a divide between the Sky viewers and the Ch 4 viewers due to the annoyance of live F1 disappearing this year.
I wonder what was going through the Merc strategy heads when they pitted for medium tyres. Seems such an obvious cock up with hindsight on a track where track position was everything.
Thread for those who like their racing long, predictable but strangely addictive. And generally fossil fuelled.
Spoiler best practice No quali spoilers until after (or during?) the Ch4 highlights show No race spoilers until after (or during?) the Ch4 highlights show
Spoiler tags can be used - we're all grown ups so no need to click a Spoiler tag if we don't need to. But just make sure you type it correctly!!
So it needs to be (without the spaces, and all lowercase)
< spoiler >< /spoiler >
