We've booked a lovely CL across the road from a country park and a reservoir within walking distance of 2 pubs

We haven't booked anywhere yet though - would you recommend we do so soon, or do you reckon we could leave it a while, or maybe even just book into places on the day? (I have never taken the van over before. I did take a car over once, many years ago, but we stayed in B&Bs).

We've just booked 4 nights at Castleton for the first week in Feb. 6th time lucky - we've not managed to get there on any of the other occasions so I'm really hoping this time we make it. Our March trip looks like a couple of nights on my sister's drive - despite Alice being in Spain - so we can celebrate my niece's birthday with her, then a few nights on a campsite with my nephew and his wife (they have a huge tent) somewhere south.
