A lot of the CMC sites are fully booked for weekends - all the ones I've looked at are. It's worth phoning to see if they have late availability because they sometimes hold back one or two pitches (I've been told this by 2 different site wardens) or have last minute cancellations.

Try the CLs. There are lots with hard standing and hook-up. Quite a few have toilet facilities these days too.

Our idea of spur of the moment getaways has had to be amended to plan a month ahead. We've already booked a few nights in Patterdale (Lake District) in December as that site, when I looked this week, is fully booked all week every week until the end of the year. Fortunately, as we can go Monday - Friday, we are able to get in some places. We are going to Castleton next week. I'm hoping that when all the sites open up again by Easter, there will be many more options as it is quite limited at the moment. |

Angus Clydesdale It’s a Caravan Club Certified Location. Only for 5 vans, usually on a farm. They have to provide water and waste but many provide all sorts of other facilities. You do have to be a Club member though. We use them all the time - much cheaper and usually more peaceful. We don’t need a toilet/shower block though.

Sites will be less busy once people start taking their holidays abroad again.
