Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Ouch! Hope it was Indi you fell onto - I imagine falling onto someone else's dog would be seen as bad form in those circles.

I managed to fall over at parkrun on Saturday just as the marshal said 'be careful going down the hill'. No blood was shed. I also tripped up on Sunday playing football with my son, I got bruised hands :-( Still didn't damage my legs, that's the main thing!

Luckily my own dog Dvo! As you say squashing someone else's dog would certainly be considered infra dig :)

Somehow got my feet caught up in a kitchen stool between the freezer and kitchen door. Don't think I could repeat it even if I tried.

Arse over tit on Glasgow Green at lunch today. Seem to have taken a big chunk of skin off my right hand. Gah!

Ooh, nasty. Go carefully people. Last night at club run up the Lomonds a club mate came in covered in blood (knee and elbow). We cleaned her up and stuck a dressing on (mostly just to use first aid kit! Blood always makes it look bad, but cuts weren't that deep.) However, turns out that the one with less blood, the elbow is actually a double fracture! What a trooper she was to just dismiss it as nothing. :-) G

I fell whilst running on the canal towpath at the beginning of June and twisted my ankle quite badly.
Ran for the first time since then on Saturday at parkrun and ended up flat on my face having tripped on a stone sticking out of the path. Fortunately, the fall didn't involve the dodgy ankle and the only injuries were a scraped hand and elbow.

57.5 Degrees of Pain
We had a near disaster last night on the start line of a local invitational 5k. A girl fell in the middle of 60-70 runners and was lucky not to be more badly hurt. I narrowly missed standing on her head and only avoided falling by thumping my hand into the guy in front's kidney. He ran off swiftly, I shook off a tweaked Achilles to make it to the finish. The faller pulled out and was limping but otherwise looked OK.

That could have been a lot worse!

I was pleased to have run/walked nearly 5 miles yesterday without falling over! ;)
